Its wierd, when I heard MJ passed on, I did not have images of his freakish recent nature or the stories of nowadays. I immediately had the tune Thriller pop in my head then the plethora of great tunes that the Thriller album had that I used to listen too when my sister first got the album (while I was listening to Quiet Riot). Those were good days and memories that will remain for quite some time.

Regardless of what more younger people will think of him, ranging to the walking mannequin look to the child problems, people of my era will remember the great artist he was. However whacked he may have been, his talent for his type of music was unrivaled.

I honestly can say: So What? Micheal Jackson Died. I wasn't a fan of him, and didn't like him much.

That's prob what most people will say when you die. Though most people are smart enough to keep obvious stupid comments to themselves

Most likely since you didnt grow up to his music when it was first put out (and with his bros)

You cant expect the younger generation to fully appreciate what he accomplished as an artist.

I am a fan of older music but I can say MJ's crap wasnt great, people are like sheep.. follow what they are told to, like what they are told to, and his recorded sales are proof he wasn't great anyway, Elvis... he sold way more.

and MJ was very crazy, dont abuse people for speaking the truth just because you liked his music, we live in freedom and can say what we like about someone.
Respect him? whats to respect, he changed who he was when he became white, normally we dont go around respecting people for changing what they look like/who they are because of insecurity they have..

    That's rather ignorant of you.

He had a rare skin disease that caused a loss of pigmentation in his skin. From what I recall/heard, he didn't like the splotches and I guess the only way to deal with it was to lose pigmentation in all the skin to match.

He was never convicted of any molestation charges - however I do think he had some problems - he had a TON of pressure when he was young and I think he just was trying to relive it - to such an extreme that he thought he was a 12 year old boy..

That's just one theory, there definitely was something wrong with him - I don't necessarily disagree that it would appear that he might have molested children - but he was never convicted and you don't have the facts to say that 100%. Sure he may have been a bit weird, but he was a great artist. You may not have liked it, but millions did. People can say the same thing about Elvis, The Beatles or anyone...but people only become really famous and popular when a lot of people like them..so you can't say that 'his crap wasn't great'. It may not have been great to you, but it was to millions.

He admitted to changing his looks to try and forget his upbringing Not just his skin, but he also had quite a bit of plastic surgery.

Which he denied, on many occasions too when it was obvious.
