    Nameserver problem!

I now use a VPS to host free clients and using zonedit.com to manage DNS. (I use zonedit because my ISP gave me just a one IP for my VPS. )

    Anyway back to my topic
I configured my cpanel to use zonedit nameservers and changed my A record to use my VPS's IP. Now it is functioning and no issues with it. I can see my homepage.

But the problem occurs when i create client accounts via WHM. Even after 24 hours creating the subdomains(domain.mydomain.com) from my control panel, the web browser is showing me "page not found error". As i know, the subdomains are activated instantly. But what is the issue with me?

Do i have to set a A record with *.mydomain.com to forward them to my IP? Or have i forgot something? Or i have to create my own custom nameservers to host my clients?
And if i want to create two custom nameservers with one IP, can i do it?(without big downtime when using it.)

    Kindly reply is totally appreciated.

    Thank you.
    eSupun

You do have to set a wildcard subdomain for client subdomains if you don't have your own nameservers.
also, when clients use their own domains they will need their own dns server too. Of course they could use zoneedit or afraid.org too.

Can't they use ns*.zonedit.com(nameservers they gave me) to host their domains with me? And when i point the subdomains with wildcard, doesn't it shows my webpage?

No it won't show your page unless the IP is dedicated to your website.

What does this have to do with nameservers?

They could but you would run out of domains fast as they only allow five free. But for subdomains a *.yourdomain.com would work fine.

this is wat u should do.
    create these few A records.

    ns1.yourdomain.com to ur IP
    ns2.yourdomain.com to ur IP
(since users will want to point their domain to ns1 and ns2)

then you will have to create a wildcard A record:
    *.yourdomain.com to ur ip

if you need to use your domain for email, then do this
point MX yourdomain.com to ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM with priority 0
to use google apps as your email service.

    hope this helps

Maybe it's better to create my custom nameserver in my domain registrator panel. In that way i can host unlimited domains.

Anyway if someone points their A record to my IP, then it will work fine. No? Can they see their own website listed in my IP?

@CS Squad - I am not sure i can create custom nameservers in zonedit.com And even if i want to create two nameservers for my 1 IP, my domain registrator won't let me do that.

    Anyway can't i get a help with failover ip's?

    @eSupun
it will work, coz wat u will do is just pointing ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com direct to the IP.

so zoneedit will treat it like a subdomain only.
but in fact, it will be a fully functioning NS for ur users to use
