I've used Windows 98, Windows XP Home Edition, Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows 7 Home Premium. My favourite is of course Windows 7. I'm not going to complain about Windows Vista like others do but it is a pretty good OS.

Windows 7 might be good if you have enough RAM, but for my 1GB RAM Windows XP SP2 is the best. I tried once to update to XP SP3 but SP3 was slower.
Right now I am using XP SP2 with Visual Effects disabled and Themes Off, for performance.

You can't even upgrade to XP SP3 without experiencing issues? It sounds to me like you have a piece of junk.

It's not my fault that SP2 is better than SP3.

If you had a decent machine, the performance differences between SP2 and SP3 would not even be noticed. You opt to leave your machine open to vulnerabilities by refusing to run SP3.
