1,000,000 emails daily? That comes out to like 11.6 mails per second. I really do not see how you could be sending that many legitimate emails every day without it being considered spam.
I need a reputable hosting for my business. I am developing a wordpress-based safelist-like WP plugin/theme that will be commercially available to my clients in march. I need a host that will offer me a good VPS solution for testing/lauch period with the option to upgrade at dedicated server if/when needed. (a safelist is a op-in email list that members use to send marketing ads spam free to other members. A lot of email is sent this way,but the bandwidth should not be a problem as 95% would be text only emails)
I will have at least 1 working safelist with estimated 1.000.000 emails/day capacity neeeded. I also plan to offer hosting to clients that will require a fully working/operational solution and also recommend a hosting solution for the rest, so this will surely bring at least a few clients to your hosting business.
My main requirements are first a big email sending capacity - the biggest the better, reputable hosting history - good reviews and good support options. Also I will need to run WordPress Manager script to install and configure WordPresss blogs along with a few other scripts so good php and wordpress support is also required.
The server should be located in US and I need full management for VPS and dedicated server once there. I need WHM and cpanel+fantastico included.
I have a decent budget and I am looking for reliable rather than cheap but I need all the above included at a good price with decent upgrade prices.

A safelist will allow members to send eachother promotional emails. Considering 1.000 members X 1 email/day to whole list it goes to 1mil. Of course RL is not that much as not all members will be allowed daily email and not all will send daily but then again member number will be higher hopefully.Originally Posted by deeplist

I visited the site and the offer seems OK but I will keep my options open for a while. It bugs me that is no option to upgrade over their most advanced VPS. So if I will need more I will have to move and since my software is a completely new one and it's still in development I have no idea yet of the possible final requirements.

In general from a legal stand point its not spam as each member opts into it directly. As such I see no issue with providing you the resources you are looking for.
The RAM and CPU allocations for such a venture are still a bit hazey to me and would love some input before quoting a monthly resource allocation in the dark. I would suggest for you to take a peak at our VPS services as seen here: www.bigscoots.com/vps

Honestly, I am myself i a haze on CPU and RAM requirements and even my programmers can't give me good estimates at this point. I am however pondering a cloud solution for this enterprise as it might give me the peace of mind if required resources are exhausted, It would make sense also considering this is a membership site that would hopefully grow so resources would be depleted at some point...
I do think though that your offer will suit my other business - WP development. I do have at the present around 25 blogs and once I'll re-launch the offer I estimate a few dozens of new clients. SO I'm thinking to move my actual domains on the $20 VPS and upgrade later on - in 1-2 months once I have time to relaunch that business.
