    I find that the more active I am in any one e-mail account, the more spam I am getting in that one e-mail account compared with other e-mail accounts that I use less frequently. I wonder whether it could be a good idea to use as many e-mail accounts as possible for different purposes.

    More the email addresses more the spams I think better to configure spam filter on active email address/addresses.

    Better to use some custom prefixes for your email.
    A lot of people use sales @
    support @
    info @
    create something unique and I believe you will be getting less and less spam.

    just use a system like i do

    use the pipe system , let it go to your cpanel inbox and use spamassasin or just a verification email (yes you can do that )

    then no emails will be sended to you anymore until they provide a answer back on the email itself and then it get piped forward to your system

    its the easy way and only thing you will have is that the first ticket will look a bit strange (or maybe 2 tickets open at the same time)

    but before i forget to say it , you need a little bit of skills to set this up good , else it will fail to

    so in short

    cpanel -> email verification
    cpanel -> spamassasin
    cpanel -> forward

    or cpanel -> email account -> whmcs -> pop

    I prefer more emails for different things because i use them for different things and some emails are more important than others. Example would be my business email is more important than my personal, so i have these emails update every minute on my phone, whereas my other emails i have update every 30 mins.
