    Name.com down?

    When I push a button on http://www.name.com I get "HTTP 503 - Service Temporarily Unavailable" all the time.
    But what exactly does that mean? What ever it is I am not going to register a domain there now... not that I can.

    They probably have a dead node in their cluster or something that is producing errors at random, but it takes time for the DNS to time out so that you get a different IP from their load balancing system.

    It's appearing up here as well, they either already fixed it or they took the dead node out of the pool so it wouldn't cause issues.

    Name.com is currently working for me fine. Just slow but that could be latency problems.
