There are many websites providing free web hosting to all. Which free hosting sites are trusted and best free hosting provider?

Hoster1, this is an awfully general question! Of course, there are general attributes (such as uptime and support) which automatically mean some free hosts are not worth your time. However, distinguishing between those that offer acceptable uptime and support really depends upon your specific needs. This is a hard question to answer - and I can't really figure out what the reason is for asking it.

There may be hundreds of answers by hundreds of people for this question. But as TSO pointed out, the answer depends on your needs. One man's best free host may not be the best one for another.

This is a study that was run over the past few years of various free web hosts that advertised on FWS and volunteered to undergo the trial by fire.

Over time it shows several interesting metrics about the hosting market, and a few clues that you can look for when choosing a host as well as several hosts that stood the trial. The current roster in the study continues observing, all of the hosts that survived the study period are still getting graded on their durability.

I'm sure other such studies exist, but this is the only one I know of.

I can agree that there is no best host in general, as everybody has different needs, but the one that I use is host-ed.net. What I am amazed by is their uptime, rarely see their servers even being slow.

It's like to compare apples with plums. Which one is better, I may like them both as they are different, I may like apples but you plums. So there is no such thing as a best free hosting. Look around, try their services and you'll see by yourself which one meets your expectations.

I think free hosting would be applicable to those beginners and out fund. Free hosting is nice, you can save money.But i rather go for paid hosting although i will spend money for it but it will guarantee a good quality of services.

Free web hosting is only beneficial for those who have a basic website and are not looking to do much modifications as free web hosts may not give you enough bandwidth for more and more file hosting. If your website starts getting more and more trafic, it is difficult to actually manage traffic for a large website on a free web hosting server.

Then again, if you are planning to switch to a new web hosting, you will have to move all your files from the free web hosting that you are using.

Most of the free web hosts run on slow servers so there is a good chance that your website will run very slow sometimes.

They are not free as I know.
