    Wampserver or Xampp

    Which do you prefer to use and why?
    I used wampserver for ages but it gave me lots and lots mysql errors with the latest version of vBulletin 4. So I changed to Xampp last night.

    I choose XAMPP, It has extra P (it installs Perl as well as PHP), plus it has both PHP4 and PHP5 with a utility for switching between which version you want to use.

    Recommend XAMPP.

    Personally I prefer setting the whole environment myself. I dislike such a kind of automatized installers.

    How do you do that?

    Its just for scripting offline and some small beta testing stuff.

    I prefer using Xampp because I have used it so many times.
