I would agree that register.com has quite high prices for domain name registrations. Instead of releasing those cheap coupons they should lower domain name prices so that users can stay for longer terms.

Just be careful,register.com renewal charges are 34 USD.So,just take care about auto renewal after 1 month.
You could transfer to another registrar I think.
