Staying connected in XP

Is there anyway to stay connected to the 'net, in XP, when you switch users?

I have found that sometimes it works... and sometimes it doesn't.

It never works if you log out and log back into another account... but what is really weird is that if I have two accounts logged in at once... and am In one and then switch over to the other... SOMETIMES it stays connected to the 'net... and SOMETIMES it doesn't... and that just doesn't make sense to me.

There doesn't seem to be any logical reason behind it.

It's the hugest pain too, I don't want to have to keep reconnecting.

Bah. Anyone know what i can do?

some isp's have an idle limit if u are idle for like say 20 mins the disconnect you to free up room for other users...my only thought
