    Elvis Presley is still alive? wtf?

    http://abc.net.au/news/newsitems/s497118.htm

    http://www.thekansascitychannel.com/...11-120228.html

    I've gone to school for 24 years to do what I do for a living, and I would not be involved in anything that is a hoax or a scam. That would be professional suicide," Hinton said.

    Hinton said that he has been Presley's doctor for the past few years; that they wrote a book together; and that Elvis is now ready to let the world know he's still around.

    "I'm treating Elvis Aaron Presley the entertainer, which everybody believes died in 1977. He's fine, and alive and living in hiding with the help of very powerful people, very powerful friends," Hinton said.
    the ----?

    The 35-year-old doctor denies he is running a scam, even though he has just published a book...
    We learn of this coincidentally as the good doctor's book is about to hit the shelves, eh?

    yeah, 2 people were tested Linda somethin, the woman who is a friend of his, and both of them take the test 3 times each and got the samee result, ALL PASSED.

    questions asked to doctor hinton:

    Are you treating Elvis Presly : Yes (Passed)
    Is he still alive : Yes (Passed)
    Is Elvis Presley your patience : Yes (Passed)

    and more, it was passed on all questions, so he's a doctor, and a successfull person, why would he make such a hoax that could kill his carrer

    There's more money to be made off freakish Elvis devotees that being a respected physician. Lot's more.

    Anyway, a polygraph isn't a conclusive test. It can't really tell if you're lying, it can just point out indications that suggest you may not be telling the truth. You can be lying through your teeth and still pass a lie detector test. If, for example, you were in an agitated state during your control questions, that would throw off the results from your real questioning. If you're a naturally calm person and can control your heart rate, the test hasn't got anything to go on and it can only be assumed you're telling the truth. Or if you're just a pathological liar and mentally make no distinction between what's true and what's untrue, same effect.

    <edit>

    Also, you don't mention the exact result. It isn't like on TV, a big red light and buzzer that says "LIE" and green light and a bell that says "TRUE". The results could have been borderline.

    </edit>

    Elvis died, then he was dead, and currently he's still dead. Be sure to let me know when his condition is upgraded from dead to alive, but I'll need a bit more evidence to go on that this.

    While you get that evidence, Adolf and I will be at the local Wal-Mart. We'll stop by Emeilia's, she might want to come too. Eva'll stay at home.

    Ah, I found my old avatar. The hypnotic evil duck.
    It was 2002. Duck avatars were the style at the time.
    Long and fascinating story there. I'd tell you if I remembered it.

    Ask the Russians about the lie detector test... they are extremely easy to pass if you remain calm. The lie detector test is monitored by brain wave activity. Furthermore, they are not admissable in court and therefore are not admissable in my mind as an established fact.

    The KGB, now FSB, did a lot of testing on it so if their spies were caught by the US they would pass the tests.

    I read a biography of a Polish spy who came to Canada. It was a very interesting story. He said they were trained to pass polygraph tests. Wouldn't be that hard if you had one to practice with I guess. At the bare minimum, you can mess up the control questions by putting a tack in your shoe by your toe that you step on when answering. That way the results will be inconclusive. And I thought they just sensed changes in blood pressure, heart rate and such...not "brainwaves"?

    I searched for it... http://howstuffworks.lycoszone.com/lie-detector1.htm

    " heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate and electro-dermal activity"

    Anyways...the point is that it doesn't take much to fake a lie detector. Obviously this doctor can not be treating Elvis, because he was abducted by aliens quite a few years ago, and hasn't been returned to earth yet.

    Cannuck: Well brainwaves are what sends messages to your nerves so it would only be logical that they do monitor brain waves. And this what I know about polygraph tests.

    An government organization that does a lot with it is the http://www.dss.mil
