I've lobbied to have something done about that before, but no one seemed to support me on that for some reason.
Is it just me or are lots of old threads being dug up suddenly?
I find it quite annoying when threads from 2000 are dug up that have no signinficance anymore.
Is this regarding the FIRST POST!!!!!! thread? If so, it has gone back into retirement![]()
I support you.
Though I'm not a mod so it doesn't really matter.
It bothers me to see a thread started in 2000, and ended a month later, bumped up 2 years after that for no reason.
Threads that are old, and not significant should be deleted or at least locked.
EDIT: Jan, no it is not. Its about a bunch of other threads I have seen recently, all began in the year 2000. Ones about old hosts and such, that are of no importance anymore.
True, but when I posted I wasn't putting those into consideration.
I'm talking about other threads that new users have recently gone and dug up.
I think he was referring to this one, I spotted it a little while ago and deleted the two replies.

Don't anyone reply to it![]()
Jan, that's not the only one.
There's been some others recently too.
And yeah why not lock it?
As Todd said at the end of that thread he would rather not be forced to.
If you see any others, why not just send a trouble report? We can't go through every new thread obviously, so if we don't know its been dug up, we can't do anything about it?
ah... one of freewebspace.net's most shining moments...Originally posted by Jan
