Prohosting works fine for me...I haven't tried Netfirms so I can't verify for that, but prohosting was pretty easy for me to run my scripts on.
What FTP client are you using to CHMOD the files?
This might seem like a very silly question, but on Prohosting, did you CHMOD all the files to 755? Because regardless of what the directions for the script say, you have to change them all to 755 on prohosting.
Hope I helped and that I'm not just talking rubbish as usual

    Lightbulb daaaaaaaaaaaaa.....

All my scripts on ProHosting quit working several months ago. In particular those using NET::FTP and LWP modules.

Any help-support from there? I have yet to find any.

I'm not the only one..some have suggested its the javascript in their ads..

Otherwise not unusual to pull the cgi ability for the FREE.

The only thing I have there still working are 'file manager' scripts.....

    ps...

    NetFirms has limited modules.

I have file manager scripts working there but have to be in cgi-bin.

Oddly some scripts just disappear from your site....bugs or netfirms police..don't know.....

That is highly probable. From my experience, the ads do have a tendency to mess everything up...wouldn't be at all surprising if they make some scripts cease working entirely.

And how much disk space & data transfer are you looking for?

Probably around 3-5 megs, since its only for a couple of scripts .. like antileech, click count, etc. and wont need that much bandwidth either, ill be surprised if it ever reached 400 megs ..

Well, there are no more accounts anyway (gave the last three away yesterday, I'm just too lazy to update the site). I was just asking, that's all

Just remember not to take cgi-enabled hosts for granted, they have to work extra hard to provide you with server side scripting and prevent your scripts from harming other's sites and vice versa.

So in other words, give them a break and don't put while("" eq "") into any of your scripts
