    Monitors

    Can anyone recommend a good monitor? I see all sorts out there with .xx dot pitch and whatever resolution. I have no Idea how to go about chooing a good monitor.

    I'm talking abouot CRT monitors.

    The lower the dotpitch the better. .27 is average and .24 or less would be optimal.

    Aperture grill CRT's are flatter and generally provide better color quality and improved overall image quality over a Shadowmask.

    Without knowing your budget, or what size (e.g. 17", 19", 24", etc.) it's kind of difficult to suggest a monitor.

    I'm looking for a 17" monitor.

    Or a 19 if the price is right.

    I'm using a Samsung SyncMaster 753DF. It's really inexpensive and is "pseudo-flat". And if you're not going higher than 1024x768, it'll work very well.
