i downloaded WinLinux 2000 and installed it, no problem when i tried to do a boot up it said i needed MS Dos, i have ms dos prompt but no MS Dos, Because Windows Me sucks (it has no MS Dos Mode) so i couldnt add linux

so i uninstalled Win Me back to 98SE and guess what happened? all my file got deleted, what i didnt know is when you un install me all the files you had when you upgraded gets deleted, so there went 15 gigs in files, games, personal docs, mp3s and such ( i have MOST of it saved on CDRW but not all) so now all my files are gone

when i booted up 98SE it said i had no operating system installed so i booted up again, and same thing, so i installed win ME again since i dont have the 98 disk so now i am back, no files and no linux, so basically i hate windows right now

You'd be surprised Coolin. I heard this one kid asking somebody else in my computer science class how he could get his files back from the format he did on his c drive.

I could flame you for hours on that comment keith, and I'd imagine many other readers could too.

I'd strongly reccomend you change the wording, because someone might get the impression that Windows is stable! Argh!

I hardly have problems with Windows

I have 2 computers, WindowsME installed on both of them, I've formatted both of them, reinstalled WinME, etc. the whole works and no problems at all. (btw, i formatted one cuz it was an old computer and I decided to do fdisk and format, and formatted the new one because I made a mistake and screwed up Windows).

My sister recently bought a new computer and has been getting errors after errors, so I formatted that one too and reinstalled the programs she needed, absolutely no problems now.

Windows is tricky, it's definitely not "stable", I would much rather have a Mac like Supermoo, but Windows still does the trick and I won't complain

Windows Millenium is very stable as long as you have enough memory and don't screw with it!
