You stuck in Design view? Can you edit the page? The method you used to see the HTML source code should be correct. What do you see when you select View ---> Code?
I've just recently started using that software, and ive constantly been having the same problem: I cant view the source of a page.
I'll open file.html and i'll see the design perfectly. I click view, then code, and nothing happens. I should be taken to the code view, but I'm not.
Do any experienced dreamweaver users have a solution?

when i click view|code i stay in the design view.
[fires up dreamweaver mx...]
[snickers at the very fast loading times...]
righti o, have you tryed clicking "code" in the bar just above the page design?
tryed reinstalling it?
try the key combonation "ctrl `"?
try refreshing by pressing "F5"...
thats all i can think of...

I just start it up in code and design view now.
Try changing workspace between Dreamweaver MX workspace or Dreamweaver 4 workspace.
