I would really appreciate any help that anyone could give me. Here's the deal......I need to find inexpensive webhosting to get my new business on the web. For my personal site, I'm not really picky.....I don't much mind the pop-ups and things.......but I need my business site to look professional. I don't need a whole lot of space, but I do need to be able to set up some sort of shopping cart, or something, as my business is sales. I know I'm kind of vauge about this, but I am TOTALLY new to setting up a commercial site on the web.......and, as I said, I would REALLY appreciate ANY help with this....

Thank you!! I am checking out every possibility, and it is becoming a long and greuling process.......It helps to know what other people think.......THANK YOU!!
What about http://www.f2s.com ?
They place no ads on your site, making it look very professional. I don't think they have any shopping cart software though. They do, however, have CGI/PHP/MySQL. Perhaps there's a script that allows you to make your own shopping cart with those features.

Please, forgive me for sounding completly stupid, but what is CGI/PHP/MySQL?????
CGI, PHP, and/or MySQL are things that allow you to do many interactive things with a website. For example, this message board is powered by a combination of PHP and MySQL.

Not knowing something isn't stupid, (that's why we ask questions). It might help you to have a couple of examples...Originally posted by FallenAngel95

Ever been to a site and submitted a poll, or been to a message board (wait, isn't this one?), or written in a guestbook, etc.?
All of these things are written in a particular language (perl or php for example), and this board's pages, for example, are built (on the fly, so to speak), by pulling information, depending on what you click, from the database.
Does that help?
