Winamp3 is very slow and buggy. I use 2.8x as well; besides HLamp only works with 2.8x unless you download all kinds of third-party Winamp3 add-on crap.

Winamp3 is a buggy and resource-hungry program, so much it makes Windows Media Player looks very good. I should've keep a 2.x installer in my HDD![]()

I prefer winamp 2.8 too. Winamp 3 has some nice skins (very nice) but it runs very laggy and slow on my pc. 2.8 runs fine with no problems so i'll stick with 2.8
Winamp3 is slow, buggy, and confusing. The splash screen is nice looking...it has to be, you look at it for fully a minute before you can listen to anything. I go further than saying it makes WMP look good...it makes RealOne look good.

Winamp 2 ----ed up my sound drivers and then I used winamp3 and it doesn't screw up.
And Winamp3 0-5% CPU resources and 12mb RAM. Doesn't bother me since I got 512MB.![]()
In an everlasting search for low pings.
i like listiening to internet radio when playing ut 2k3, when i tryed this with winamp3 it lagged horribly, so i delted and went back to wmp 2 and everything has been good every since![]()
Insert lame joke here.
It depends. On MY computer I don't like it at all, it takes up far too much of my system resources. On my Dad's gaming box (1600+ Athlon + 512mb ddr ram) it runs like a dream, I even play GTA3 whilst listening to CDs through it without jumps!
