To install drivers off your computer you put the CD in the drive, and search for your computer under the folder list. It should be quite straightforward, well mine is.

The settings go back farther then just a day. Go to your start menu on the left and click on help and support, you will find the restore button under the Techincal toolbox section, choose a day that is BEFORE the problem started. Good luck.

What do you do if you can't get to the start Menu?
e.g, you get to the point when it has the Windows XP logo and the Boxes goes across the screen, and then decides to reset your comptuer after it has done that for about 2 minutes.
And during the time, when the boxes are going across the screen, the computer is making the same noise as it does when it is switching off.
