    Mad

I'm searching for a ad-free host with SSI or PHP (preferably SSI). I've tried the power search but all of the 7 hosts listed do not suit my needs or have not replied to my signing-up in over 2 weeks... sad really :)
If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it... I thought SSI would be a fairly easy thing to find.... but it seems to be not...

    Any assistance appreciated,
    Psytek

F2s is about the best u can get until we see what netcabins will offer when they r back up.
F2s give 20MBs and ftp support too.

Yes they do. At least on the new servers. I haven't been doing much with my accounts there the last 6 month. Back then I had to use a .htaccess file to enable SSI but f2s said that was fixed. You could give it a try. Or ask at the forum at http://www.users.f2s.com. Be aware that some of the guys that run that site are a little religious about f2s and don't always admit there is trouble in paradise.

Try to stick this in the directory where you want to use SSI or in the root.

    ****************************
    AddType text/html .shtml
    AddHandler server-parsed .shtml
    Options Indexes FollowSymLinks Includes
    ****************************

Which server are you one? I can check later if it works for me if you are on the same as one of mine accounts.

BTW you can use a similar .htaccess to force the sever to parse html pages for SSI. Don't know if it works at f2s though. They seem to have their own ways.
