who would like to give me some advice to increase traffic effectively

I tried the banner exchange, but it seems no effect.

Previously I registered a user on clicks4u.com, I put a small 88x31 banner on the home page of my site. Incredibly I found that the traffic of my site had increased dramaticly! However, due to the problem of free web hosting, my site was closed suddenly.

Now I hosts my site with the aid of another free web hosting provider, www.sohounion.com, all is Okay. However, I found this time clicks4u.com doesn't bring any traffic to my site!

Anyone here can give me some suggestions?
