Arrow What do you think of this idea to make a big community?

I have been thinking about making a big community of forums all within the one site.
Im thinking of buying a domain name and creating one main forum which will be for general chat and a portal to the other forums.
The other forums would be a subdomain of the main domain.
I wouldnt run all the forums, i would setup the site for someone who was interested in running it on their choice of subject.
In essence its free hosting for people's forums but its only for subjects others will be interested in rather than a personal forum.
On the main forum i would have a nav bar which links to the main forums within the network...

Its just an idea i have been thinking about and wanted to know what you all thought

    Any ideas or suggestions?
    Thanks,
    John

Sorry, but I really don't think that this will work.
