    floating concrete?

    its true! actually,there is a compition called the "Concrete Canoe" compitian. the canoes are made up of a special kind of concrete that actually floats.

    steel doesnt float and there are actual floating steel boats.

    It's not how heavy or the mass of the object that makes it float. It's how much water it displaces and it's volume. Great the volume, more water is displaced, and more buoyancy is applied.

    ya... about the only talents i have are in computers and vocabulary (not sure bout that one.)

    there was talk no so long ago about building concrete submarines. Some guy come up with the idea that concrete at such depths were stronger then steel submarines. I remember seeing it on a documentery.

    Well aircraft carriers are made of steel, so are oil tankers. Originally, the decks of carriers were made of wood. You can pretty much guess why they stopped doing that.
