The words "Free" and "Unlimited"
I need help designing a flyer for a web design company I'll be running. Any ideas? What kind of stuff would catch someone's attention? How can I make it look different than others?
It'll be standard 8.5x11 paper, black and white (I guess I could do color if I print it at home and not xerox it). It'll be posted on local bulletin boards at stores mainly.

The only thing we have to fear; is fear itself.
How does it change many dyslexics to take a light-bulb?

lol.
I was wondering, would people stop and read 180 words if they needed a webdesigner and the headline was "NEED A WEBSITE?"

I suppose it depends on your audience...I assume your ideal audience if you are posting flyers is owners of small businesses.
Maybe try something "GET YOUR BUSINESS ONLINE, for as little as $XXX.XX".
The key for something like this would be the BIG BOLD text. That is to grab attention. Now, you need an easy to remember, easy to spell, domain name. They see your ad, think "this might be good..." then remember the domain name. Or have little pieces to rip off with the address, your company title, and a brief caption.
I would say try to keep any technical language off the flyer. And always try to appeal to their needs, ie (More business or Reach more customers).
You may also want to approach the small businesses, and tell them what you can do for them. It can go two ways, they think you are some punk kid trying to make a buck, or they have thought about this before, but didn't know anyone to get them started.
Anyways, good luck with your venture.
Yeah, you have to make sure to include the word 'business', as it will grab more attention.
Perhaps list some of your services, ones that the general public would know of.
Make it catchy though, I doubt people would be too impressed if the ad was plain, in Arial font or something.
Also, make sure you have little tabs at the bottom that can be ripped off, with your URL or email address on them.
Good luck.![]()
Yeah, I was thinking of having some sort of tabs too. Should I put graphics in it or just text? I Was thinking i'd be straight forward and put down exact prices.

Maybe have some sort of professional looking logo on the ad itself, but have just text on the tabs.![]()
Personally, whenever I see a poster advertising a website I always grab one of the tabs so I can check it out later.
Much easier than having to write down the name.
