Looking for hosting

Currently looking for a host for GA Bulldogs.com, a site for the Georgia Bulldog fan. Simply a fan site for a university and it's athletic programs -- no porn, WareZ, etc. I would be interested in a free host with at least:


· 10-15 mb to start, but expandable as site grows.
· 750mb-1gb bandwidth is plenty for now, but plan to add email and forums within a year which will likely boost the bandwidth requirement.
· mySQL
· php
· true ftp capabilities
· control panel
· shopping cart capable
· forums capable
· .NET ok
· a handful of free pop3 email accounts (eventually a few hundred to be sold as vanity accounts)
· no adverts, but willing to place a non-rotating banner or text message on home page
· a host that has been around more than a year with an excellent uptime percentage


Without advertising, in just over 2 weeks, Geocities tells me I have received over 463 unique page views, and the site is now getting 40+ unique hits a day. The site is currently IE friendly as it has been quickly built in Word <terrible coding, yes, but was in a hurry and Geocities is limited in what you can do>.

Between work, 2 young kids, a band, and gathering material for the site, it's been tough looking at hosts. So, if I've left anything out that you would need, please let me know. You can reach me at gabulldogs2000@yahoo.com.

If you are really serious about this site, I would consider a paid host.

but for now, you could try www.u69.us

Lifeless, I like the what I see at your site. it appears you've got the bandwidth and space I would need along with the php, ftp, mySQL, and forum capabilities that I was looking for.

I also like the fact that you don't accept everyone. I'm happy to see that you are as picky about who you host as I am about who I'd like to host me. With that, I noticed on your Hosting Manager page, you indicate that "there is currently no control panel available." I imagine that you will be adding a control panel soon? What time frame are you looking at?

On the Hosting Help page, I read that "Email access is not provided on free hosting accounts." Would I still need to use my yahoo account? Also, I didn't see that you had paid hosting packages -- did I miss something?

No ETA on a control panel. Email accounts are given to those who host domains with us as we see fit, they are not part of our offical offering.
