if you get a paid host who offers cPanel has a control panel - there is an option inside cPanel to install phpBB with a click of a button.

Otherwise, visit phpbb.com to get the files you'll need.

will let you create a free invisionboard and they'll host it. IB is as good as phpBB.

just get a free host that has php/sql and install it yourself
you'll aprreciate it more if you put it up there with your own hands

I agree. I've had the option before of having someone set up my forums before, but I prefer to do it myself. Feels more like it's actually mine that way.

Also, I do prefer phpbb over other boards, so I can see why he would only want it, but there is really nothing wrong with iB, especially if you don't want to be the one who sets it up.

Finally, the appropriate forum for this thread is in the Free Services forum, and I'm sure the phpbb URL has probably been posted there hundreds of times.
