    I need a Firewall

    Whats the best firewall?
    Has to be effective and not a resource hog like Norton.
    Something small, light, yet effective

    I'm using McAfee Personal Firewall Plus. It's pretty good.. shows the connection attempts, the port and IP and can trace the location, it shows the apps that are using the internet and how much of it it's using.

    NIS Pro 2004 isn't a resource hog for me, but try Sygate, although it's hard to find the download link.

    I use ZAF, (no, that's not a typo for ZAP, I mean Free) and I find that it works fine... I've used several ports for apache and run jabberd.
