    cPanel vs directadmin

Could someone give me the low down on these?. I am new to reselling and currently I have cPanel (6gb space and 30gb bandwidth for $25 a month on an extreamly reliable server) but my host said I will get a large increase if I would move to directadmin...

    Pros and cons anyone?

I think it's mainly a matter of personal preference towards the user, and as such, since cPanel is the more known and more popular control panel, cPanel will be the choice. I've used both, and cPanel is a little bit easier to use, more laid out and generally shows all the features to control in an organized manner. I didn't mind DirectAdmin either, but the way it was set up really didn't appeal to me. I was using a reseller account too (I find it easier to organize multiple websites) and I must say, WHM is MUCH stronger then the DA reseller panel. Much more organized and generally, better.

I think you will be better to stick with cPanel, unless you can offer DA on the side as well.

    Regards,
    Corazu

I think comparing CP with DA is like comparing Windows and linux. Yes they both work good, but one is more of a standard than the other.

How do you feel that? DA for me runs very stable, less errors than cPanel. The GUI is very clear as well

cPanel doesn't have Bugs, it is a bug. We run it on our FreeBSD system and we've disabled some of the features because they are so unstable. However, cPanel seems to much more powerful than any other control panel and because it was the only one if it's kind when it was released, it continues to dominate the control panel industry.

In addition cPanel is known to slow down your system, but again it is a matter of preference. Since we use a custom panel now we dont have this issue. cPanel is by far the panel of choice for most. Allthough I have found that the others are just as easy if you take the time to get to know them.
