    Writers, Columnists, Co-bloggers wanted!

    Hello.

My name is Mr. Denali. I am currently working on a project called e-boredom.com. At the current writing of this post, the project is not complete, so I apologize in advance for any blank or otherwise older pages within my site.

Let's get this out in the open first- This is not a "for pay" project. This is what I like to call a co-op project. One hand washes the other so to speak.

Basically, I need writers in three areas, Articles, Columns and Blogs. You would right about the same subject each and every time. For example, if you are an expert on Makeup or hair care, you would only write about makeup or hair care. If you are a freebies expert, you would write about nothing but freebies.

How would this benefit you? Well, would a one time fee paid to of let's say ten dollars per piece sound good? Or does the sound of potentially thousands of more visitors to your site water your palette a bit more? If you can do math, or have been doing the webmaster thing, you would know longterm traffic and a good reputation is worth more than ten dollars.

How is it going to work? In a nutshell, the almost unknown power of blog tracking is only one aspect of this project. We have a few resources which we have not posted within the website, it would give away what we are doing. These resources are outside of the standard search engine search, and they do not involve spamming free newsgroups with our URL, or FFA sites for that matter. Of course, we are still going to do the usual standard practices as well.

In conclusion, picture a site meshing the content of About.com, with the audiences of Collegehumor.com, Ebaums, as well as adults of average intelligence ranging from stay at home moms to large audience webmasters. This site is slightly off the wall, while maintaining a professional, and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere with no pop ups. To benefit from this type of arrangement, you would need a website.

I will provide in depth details to those who are interested. Brief note- the site itself is going through some changes still.

    Thank you.

    Anyone interested?

Or did I leave it a bit vague?

Here is some more information then. I am shooting for around the end of August to have everything completed. I am currently working on the forums through another provider. No, not the freely hosted ones either. Maybe this will give you a better insight into one aspect of this thing. Technorati.com

Sure, eventually I would like to integrate a revenue sharing program eventually, sounds nice.

Lets put this another way. If you are one of those people who writes articles and submits them to the free article sites for the free traffic from people only looking for one topic, you are losing out on some visitors in theory. Not to mention, they have to come to you, like it, and want to put it on thier site. You know how it works Im sure.

    Any negative feedback atleast?

put me up for the freebies and blog part.Don't worry i got loads of experience in both areas. (Though i prefer blogging than going on about freebies)

Been blogging for the past 5 years now and a contributing blogger to many 'globally recognized blogs'. One of them being the SEA-EAT Blog Oh and i'm still an active contributing blogger at SEA-EAT.

I introduced the concept of blog marketing and worked with some NPOs (Non-Profit Organizations) still am - and believe me - blogging does reach the masses , especially when it comes to transparency of aid and donor involvement.

M-Commerce/Moblogging has kinda' been on my horizon lately, I've had my days with vlogs & podcasting, not really my fav - but i don't mind doing them.

BTW - i'm into volunteering and stuff - so i'll be happy with the experience... not in this for $$$ anyways PM if you're interested.

Good luck! or should i say Keep it Blogged!

This dude isn't joking around! It's for real and everything about it is so real and it's not like i'm promoting or something, but think huge!

He's got massive uptime on his servers (his servers aren't the usual crap - no way...hint- the world's most famous registrar ) & he's not one of those fast timers... And i like his approach of coming and picking up the talented individuals and youth from sites like FWS

Denali good luck with yo project & i look forward to working with you soon.

    cheers

Heh, no, I'm not Maddox, that post above me about bloogin and podcasting reminded me about it though. I like it, a lot of noobs comin on the internet talking like they know a lot of stuff when they really don't. (Not saying it applies to you)

It all comes down to my ever growing grudge against n00bs and places like myspace and stuff like that...

However, if you were talking about my sig, then yes.

    Regards,
    Corazu

I like the sound of it, D.

I've got the willingness and the ability to write a regular general humor column based on interesting/outrageous occurances in my everyday life (and then tie it in with a major issue/current even if neeed).

The ebaums/collegehumor crowd will love it, adults of average intelligence will nod and smile, and stay at home moms will be glad their daughters are still young.

If this is something you think you'd like, I can supply a sample.

    I like to write.

Tell me what you need people writing about, and I'll tell you what I can do.

My apologies for the time delay:

I am in the process of changing servers currently, due to the fact that the one I use now does not support the language needed for the functions I want to create, i.e, forums, read write permissions etc. They support everything else that is outdated however, meaning I could just use some crappy, bugged applications. No thank you, I'll take the updated support functions as well as the current apps, and take my business somewhere that provides hosting for them.

I am not an expert in too much of anything, I just have always been good at realizing potentials in the power of numbers. Look at what happened in the early days of the utilities co-op companies. This blog stuff is really getting big, the power of numbers will allow us to have a larger footprint than if we were all trying to do our own thing.

Every topic is open. Topics we will stay away from will be politics, news, as well as anything very specific in unpopular fields. For example, I wouldn't be looking for someone who wants to write about nothing but Cisco software, but I would be looking for someone who is knowledgeable on the genre of software. Basically, if you are a guru, or have a passion in your area, I want to work with you.

    Email me at articles@e-boredom.com

In your message, include a brief bio, what you would like to write about, and if your work is somewhere online, where I would be able to view it at.

All subjects will eventually have more than one writer, so don't worry if you feel your area will be taken.

    Thank you all again

    Edit:
    Quick update for those interested:

I have already switched services over.

Will be adding more topics to the left column, so if you don't see it, and are interested in writing some stuff on it, let me know, exceptions are always good.

The reason for the switch: The hosting provider seemed to be one step behind as far as up to date apps. And frankly, it was enough. I ran into this problem before with my other projects, and should have known.

    Grr...

Anyone ever use Omnis hosting? Site has been down for a day now, kind of sucks when you are trying to test and get things done. No access to email, nothing. All well, I guess even Einstein had has his slow times as well. Still excited, still working, still researching.

*Switched from windows to linux hosting
    *Upgraded PHP
    *Better billing procedures, quick communication
    *Same bandwidth, POP emails
    *Access to permissions
*5 FTP Accounts, instead of one
    *Shared SSL
    *And more...

For 3 bucks less than what I was paying a month

    Quick Opinion-
How would the sound a future revenue program sound? For example, lets say I have 100 permanent writers, the meat and potatoes. Would a quarterly stipend be something to jump at? It wouldnt be much, probably nothing in the beginning, some would call it a token wage. Of course, I cant attach the economics to the material yet, but I was thinking of doing a credit by hour arrangement. For example, you blog once a week, that one blog earns 1 credit. 1 credit equals 30 minutes, for 5 dollars. Like I said, wouldnt be much for the time being. After all, the arrangement would be to benefit overall exposure for everyone.

    Just an idea.
