First of all these are fixes. Leave them they are usually helping your computer and fixing certain problems. If you are trying to free space try using the utility in windows... My Computer > Right click your hard drive > then click disk cleanup. But basically find where all the space is being taken up at and go from there, not from important files.

If I was you iI would leave the hotfixes alone. I removed the rollup for windows 2000 once and I had to re-install the entire system.

So the best advice is to leave them
    Goodbye old friend

If you want to rid of space, a great program out there is EasyCleaner. It deletes all unneccessary files (temp ones) - and believe me, there are loads. like 20,000 every few weeks. I highly recommend it. Also remember to clean your registry (easycleaner lets you do this) and defragment once in a while (start menu).

    enjoy

Since hard drives are so cheap now, I recommend just getting an external drive. I got one a few weeks back and it's a great solution.
Life is very short, and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friend.

I wouldnt - external drives are so much more expensive than internal, and it's piss easy to install. I believe i installed one when i was 11.

Hello veggie1232 this may come late but seeing as this is my first day being a member here at this site I will offer you my advice.

First off leave the Hotfixes *Alone* they are there for a reason!!
You may want to look into buying more memory (RAM)
If you are still low on $Cash$ and cannot afford it please refer to my post

    * Preformance Tuning and Services * http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=81359

There I explain in detail how you can fully maximize you're system as is. You will get better overall performance, more available resources
    and free more RAM.

The program other users suggested to you are fine but I suggest using
TuneUP Utilities 2006: (It is a FREE 30 day trial with no limitations put on it like most free trial software)
    http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-utilities/

    (Taken from their site)
    NEW! Completely redesigned interface
NEW! Corrects up to 400% more errors
NEW! Configures and optimizes Mozilla Firefox
NEW! Customize icons, the window style and the boot and welcome screens under Windows XP
IMPROVED! Automatically scans your system for settings that might be slowing it down and corrects them
IMPROVED! Lets you take control of the system start process
Lets you control the look and feel of the Windows interface
    Deletes sensitive data permanently
Removes unneeded ballast from your disks
    Defragments the Windows registry
    Restores accidentally deleted files
    Speeds up your Internet connection
    Frees up system memory (RAM)

    Goodluck
