Exclamation Bomb Threat at Canberra High

I go to Canberra High School..... its in CANBERRA, convieniently enough.

Annnyways, after recess rather then going to our classes the alarm siren thingy went off and everyone went down to the oval area. They explained that last night there had been a bomb threat to the school. Police had searched the building last night and found nothing. We were evacuated at that time because the caller said the bomb could go off at 11:00 AM. Nothing happened, as almost everyone expected.

I wasnt scared, I dont think anyone was. Actually we were quite happy missing a lesson. I think it was just someone in year 10 ringing so they could get out of an exam. It gives me ideas...

So your telling me that when you entered the school in the morning, police officials as well as the school administration KNEW of the threat from the night before and still allowed the students to enter the school? That's smart...

Heh, well our school got a bomb threat a few years back...and they just ignored it--completely. I am okay with that though...there is a low chance there would actually be a bomb...just some kid wanting to disrupt the school day I bet. It was kinda scary to know you attend the largest high school in the country though.

Learn your world capitals

A bomb threat is nothing much. My old school back in NJ got one too, and of course, nothing happened.

Couple week's ago there was a bomb threats at my brother's work, everyone got evacuated and a special bomb squad was brought in from another city.
Noone was told anything, and media wasn't allowed at the scene, and thus it seemed as if it was more than just a threat.

8 hours later it was determined it was just gray goo stuck to the magazine rack, and the cloth bag lying around was coincidental.

How sad is that?

At my old school, in seventh grade, there was a bomb threat one day at 7:00 AM, an hour and a half before school started. They left the school open, and sent letters home with us to our parents. Very smart huh?

The guy was caught, though. Retarded enough to call from his house.

This happened at my school twice. Everyone in the school was trying to coverup the details of what happened (one teacher was trying to say that they were trying to search students down for drugs). Even the students knew what was going on anyways so why they were covering it up was beyond me.

awayfromforum has a little shameless behaviour in the past
We had a bomb threat, and that same day the officials did nothing, and some lame --- kid set on fire the garbage can in some hall way.

We got evacuated and it was some time before we were let back in.

A few years ago we had a 2 week span of bomb threats. Everyt single day someone would call in at least one bomb threat, and every single day they'd evacuate the school and let us all go home. OF course that's all these were though, threats, as there was never a bomb. Point of the story, we got about 2 weeks off from school that we never had to make up.

Of course we've also had our fair share of fires there as well. Kitchen lady sets pan of grease on fire, teacher caught the microwave on fire in one of the faculty lounges, one of the fluorescent light bulbs in one of the hallways spontaneously combusted, catching the carpet below on fire.

Then there was also a time when we were under lockdown inside because a couple of guys were walking around outisde with guns.

You know, now that I think about it, I guess I shouldn't really say school is boring...
