    directoris gone under...?

It seems the inevitable may have happen. I can't access my site, can't access directoris, can't access my FTP, and can't log in thru donhost (which I used to be able to do). Could it be...?

Another new cheap host cost only $14 set up fee

All I have to say is that I've been with them since the beginning of this thread, and at first I thought it may be too good to be true. I was wrong. My site has been fast and I have had no problems with them. When I emailed tech support they emailed me back within the next 48 hours. I'd have to...

Yeah, I don't use htaccess for anything other than that...I didn't mean to get on your case about that. I'm going to try a few more just because I am picky like that, though.

You get one mysql db, but you really only need one. You can use many scripts and such with the same db. And yes, all space is shared, db and all.

Another new cheap host cost only $14 set up fee

Hey guys, coming back to post a followup on directoris services...everything is just as great as last time. Just as fast, just as good. The only problem I've had at all is the bunch of mysql errors I get from vbulletin (always "Link-ID == false, connect failed" or "too many connections")...may...

meow: I'm not sure. I live in the US, all that matters is I'm getting fast speeds now. I pinged my site at 138ms and directoris at 140ms, so everything seems good now. All I know is that the speed now is great...for now, these guys seem great. I'd pay $30 a month for what they offer. The only...

Site's back up, mine and directoris, although very slow. MySQL access is fine; I don't know what you mean by being able to access it from outside; all I know is that I installed phpMyAdmin and my vBulletin runs fine. The no STMP server kills, but oh well. It's $14; maybe they'll get one when the...

Another new cheap host cost only $14 set up fee

Well last night I couldn't log into my control panel (auth error even though I checked my login 100 times over), couldn't access my FTP, and this morning I can't access my site or even directoris.com.

    phpwebhosting?

I used to be hosted on phpwebhosting...don't use them if you plan on starting a website with even a small amount of controversial information. Their services and support is great, it's just their TOS isn't that clear (or at least it wasn't back in February); they canceled my account when some...

    CGI, ASP, PHP hosting???

Its hosted on a K2/400 with a cable modem connection. The ugy also uses the same computer to play games and do work on. Don't use that host if you are looking for any kind of reliability.
