somebody in a different thread posted this url: http://www.myqth.com/ Is all that really possible for that cheap?

I just need 40+ mb, and at least Gig of transfer.... Anybody know any hosts that have good yearly plans for something like this? I don't know of any searches that display yearly deals.

Wow, nobody's demanding too much, are they?

Kind of odd that the pay service gets less space than the free, huh?

I'm kind of mad at lexton...The manager of this band got mad about this copyrighted material on my site, so notified the host I'm on(lexton), and my account got put on hold. I was on the alpha server, and when I got my account off hold, they placed me on the gamerz4life server. This server has...

Is anybody having ssi problems with f2s lately? It will not work for me for some reason now.

are there ANY others? I mean, come on...75 page views and no responses?

Can anybody list any free webspace providers that do the one pop-up per day things? Thanks.

they probably make some money off of that isp business they have or whatever it is they do besides free webhosting...hehe.

the purpose of the question is simply because I want to add some html to the top of my pages, but I don't want to have to go through every page and insert an ssi tag...

You know those scripts that free webspace providers use to automatically insert banner html into pages? Does anyone have a script like this? Thanks.

I believe what gyrbo's main idea was that a lot of free servers have stuff that some people don't use....a user might not use cgi and prefer some more space in return for not using cgi... All these ideas would be good, but let's see if it can be done or not. Are you up to the challenge?

Apparently, datablocks was bought by a company in which will make the server faster, but there are new pop-up ads popping up now...

Yes, it still does it with the slash. It's doing the download window on the main directory also now that I notice.

Because this is a post about datablocks, I'll post my odd thing about them... Every time I put in a directory name(ie: /news), it will bring up a download pop-up as if it wants me to download the directory. Any ideas on what this could be?

If you still don't know what the problem was, it's that you now have to put @digitalrice.com after your username. The guy told me they were making the servers more secure, and they made it that way.

I use them and they are pretty good so far. The loading time isn't too bad most of the time either.

I don't think it's really a "license" per say...they do say "non-exclusive"...I think it's just a dumb way of saying that if you put something bad on their servers, they can get rid of it.

Yeah, I know...I'm on twu, and pissed me off when they just shut them off. I'm trying to decide on a server. Does anyone happen to know of any fan run-type sites that also host certains types of sites?
