Let's say I have a domainname e.g. http://www.blablabla.com
I can easily route or ping that domain and get the IP entry for it but how can I find out if it uses different IP Addresses?
I mean let's say it is a hosting company and each member gets a subfolder below that domain, e.g...
http://www.imhosted.com
http://www.gearhost.com
Both have really nice packages, acceptable prices and do have a neat design. Heard of people who used them and they told me about speeds, service and so on ... everything okay.
Give 'em a try.
Oh, btw, gearhost.com is currently just...
well, the script I want to realize should do the following:
get a specified file per http request and save it onto the remote server machine (e.g. a paid host or whatever) so I wouldn´t have to download that file and upload it again. I´ve tried using functions like fopen, fputs and so on but...
hm, I´ve searched around, came across such services as hobbiton.org and freeshell.org but they are either closed or not really free anymore unless you donate money or something similar to that.
I know there are still many free hosts out there that offer a limited shell account, e.g. for...
What I´m looking for:
PHP
CGI
mySQL
Telnet//SSH
FTP//FXP
200MB+ Space
10GB+ Bandwidth/Transfer per month
and I don´t want to spend more than $20/month.
Any ideas?
First, a big hello to all who remember me :)
Since I often have to move huge data I wonder if there´s a webspace provider that does allow FXP transfer.
Doesn´t matter how fast
Doesn´t matter if banners or not
At least 50 MB of space available
I´ve tried tripod but since they do not...
Well, if you´ve got nothing better to do ;)
http://www.bigblock.com/nonvirtual.htm
Only 1 MB !!!!!!!
But No Ads, FTP and really fast servers. Unlimited Traffic. Domain Example: http://www.bigblock.com/yourname. English
http://citeweb.net
20 MB, No Ads, FTP or Browser Upload, Third Level...
Well, maybe not really new but not mentioned before on this board. Have fun ;)

http://www.agava.com (from Russia, don´t understand a word)
What I could decipher:
999 MB Webspace
PHP4
MySQL Database Access
CGI-BIN
SSI
Subdomain...
... is http://www.pnws.net
It was posted somewhere before but nobody really paid attention to them.
I signed up with them to test a chat system and it is quite reliable.
I´ve searched through some old posts and this is what came out:
We´re in March now, right? I´ve checked their site for almost every day since January and they still don´t seem to move ..... I think they´re dead, wouldn´t surprise me.
A serious web hosting company with very nice hosting packages (such as unlimited bandwith, webspace, pop3 boxes, FTP Users, Ladies, Toilet Paper .....blablabla......)
Read their statement about what has to be understood within the catchy word 'unlimited'...
I don´t care how many ads are on that service, just that they allow sorta data storage, I´m offering different development tools (all open source) ;) and need a reliable host for that, all files are not much larger than 1MB each.
Any ideas?
I thought about http://www.nbci.com and...
As quoted form their website:
"4 Cents per Click, blind links, 404 Error Pages and Consoles accepted ...."
I´ve read through their TOS and FAQ Section and can´t find the catch.......
Anyone´s tried em out?
Same shit with blindest.com (though lesser payout rates)
Could someone please explain me how they did survive since 1998 ?????????
Just look at their hosting plans (especially UnixUnlimited2-Hosting Package).
Where´s the catch? I´m confused ...
