5gb ftp

I'm looking for a 5GB FTP that I can place weekly website backups on. Can anyone provide me with that?

Hm. not sure you'd get this without paying something.
Are the files going to be 5GB overall, or 5GB for 1 file?
Why not try something like Boxstr.

(Saying that though you shouldn't use free hosting for backups. The whole point of backups is to keep them safe.)

there is some file host that give u 5gb overall, but the file size limit for each file is 250mb only...

No, I need a maximum of 5GB because that is what my host provides me. I honestly doubt it will ever reach greater than 1GB, but I just want to be sure that I have the space to satisfy my need.

There will be probably a one-file backup from cPanel that will be uploaded weekly to the FTP using a script. I need it to be an FTP so that it can be automated.

The only reason I want this is on the off-chance that my actual host goes down, I would have a backup on a separate FTP that I could rely on. I don't think it's too big of a deal to use free hosting since if the backup FTP goes down nothing will happen to my website and I can just get another FTP.

If you know you won't reach 5gb then why do you "need" it?

Your best just buying hosting suited for this, it'd be easier and less hassle for you & hosts.

Surely you have 10 minuites of your day to create a zip file in the cPanel filemanager and download it?

By running a script that will send the file to a separate FTP server it removes the hassle of having to download one every day, and saves hard disk space on my computer. That's what I want it for.

I would like to have a 5GB quota for my FTP simply because that's the amount of space my host gives me. I suppose I don't need it, but it would be best for me and my perfectionist desires

I don't think a 5GB FTP account is such a big deal, especially one for personal use...

Anyways, if there is no one that can offer me this I guess I'll just stop posting. No big deal.
