Ok....

This is it, everyday I get about 10 of these, I mean, am a stable producer of my flow & this crap is doing my head in. Just ask my wife.

I sent a email back saying (Well I cant post it here, its a bit too violent :biggrin2:) but now they send me more.... AHHHHH

I mean, I get these emails 10xs a day, does someone know something I don't?.

Which email address are you getting it at? (Just the domain/provider.. not full email. You don't want more spambots emailing you.)

Theres no way to stop them ARGH, they have links to remove your email from mailing lists... but what happens when you submit your email for removal it just goes into other mailing lists... and there it continues !!!! annoys the hell outta me

oh genius einstein, not only do you then get all the worlds pissed of spammers and the feds on your tail, you also have your rep as a host ruined.
It would be like me hacking someones cpanel account!
spam- I don't get this issue, even though Im not really that carefull with my email adress. However, there seems to be a difference.
person a with firstname.surname@provider.com seem to get much more spam than my_stupid_name@hotmail.com.
Also, Im whois protected:p
 
We get the same at a helpdesk. It isn't email oriented obviously, it is "targeted" to any contact address they can get hold of.
 
Yea, thing is, am not that stupid to give my ISP e/mail address out, only to personal friends & family unless........

Your in the UK right? Well if you didant know, Freeserve/wanadoo/AOL/tiskaly (Or however you spell it) sold all our information :p I also get these kind of emails sent to my ISP email, and i've never used the darn thing!

Well that is the email being spammed, I do have software, which I can send over 5000 emails /sec but there isnt any point. Just comes back so I just get spammed even more & by myself lol.

Am now with NTL & wanadoo but wanadoo are in every spamlist out there :devious2:.
 
I get much less of these viagara emails since updating the exim.confs with a wider range of block lists. Spamcop, njabl, spamhaus, ordb, abuseat, dsbl...

Current stats on the perhaps busiest server..

njabl.org = 872
spamcop = 12019
spamhaus = 8162
dsbl.org = 2862
abuseat = 1
ordb.org = 8
