"Community" website

Does anyone know of a cheap web host (< $60/year) that can provide the following:

* My own domain name
* Message Board(s)
* Mailing List Server (like Listserv, Majordomo, etc)

* optional features that would be nice:
-- Chat Room
-- No Brain ways to organize file stores
-- No Brain ways to organize pictures (photo albums)

Thanks for your help

I think alot of hosts will be able to provide this, and a general rule is not to register your domain with the host your using :)

Re: Community website

Really? I have looked at several web hosting places.
They often advertise PHP, CGI, JAVA, etc, but not
specifically easy, no-brainer tools to automatically
add Message Boards, Chat areas, etc.
This will have to be no-brainer, because it will have to
be maintained by a smallish club. And it will only GET
maintained if it takes very little time to maintain it.

Really, I'm looking for something like Yahoo Groups, but
with my OWN domain name at the top.

Can you point me at an example hosted page that displays
the features I need?

Thanks for your help.

HostForWeb.com - inexpensive w/lots of options

I finally realized I had to pay for hosting services. My search for free hosting never brought satisfactory results. hostforweb.com I found to be inexpensive with LOTS of features: asp. ftp, chat, mail, MySQL, PHP. Warning: Don't go for their 49.95$ per yr package. You get 5mb of space and 4.5 are taken up with their options (db, email, etc.). It's going to cost you 99.95$ per year. If you don't have a domain name yet check out godaddy.com. 70$ for 10 years!

One more thing. Their support is very good and timely. I had trouble with some of their options cuz I'm new to MySQL, PHP, Chat Room and basically setting up a website. I just asked really basic questions and they responded within 24 hours.

Thanks for the education

Thanks for the education, Graham.

I had no idea that PHP meant a portal for all those
"community" things I've been looking for.

And thanks for spelling out what your company can do
for me.

I haven't really looked into it, since I just got an account with them a few days ago, and I install all my stuff myself, but I think you can install all that stuff from the Myacen Control panel pretty easily? Am I right?

When I follow your link, I wind up with
"Cannot find server or DNS Error Internet Explorer"

So how good is Phenominet?
