Counter Strike Probs

I recently installed Counter Strike again and now when i try and play in the servers it says Cannot connect to a server which is operating under a different protocool. Well i installed the mod and everything can someone please help

What CRC are you running? 45 or 46?(1.5 is 46)

And what is the protocol of the server?
 
Yeah if you see protocol errors that is 99% chance of being that you do not have the latest updates...was it the half-life that needed to be updates or CS
