keith, why vb 1.1.5 ?
originally, i didn't want it to be anything elaborate... that and i never got around to buying a vb 2.x

of course, after i've installed it, i'd like to convert to a phpbb. any suggestions? there's no way to covert from vb 1, just vb 2... damn me.

ah well, it does the job for now...

How come when you say "no one visits my forum," you still want to and make a forum? Just curious.

Well I don't own a forum (yet) but I am a very active moderator at The NFL Forum under the username lonelysteelerfan. So if you like football please register, and if you happen to be a Chiefs or Titans fan please email me at lonelysteelerfan@thenflforum.com or PM me as we are desperately searching for one to mod those forums!

I am going to start a forum at the NFL site I am building so when I finish I'll post a link here. Could be done by this afternoon I think.

That would have been a useful post if:
1)This was in the 'Site Review' Forum
2)That was his site.

There is a certain percentage of people here who either don't or can't read posts carefully before replying :p

Thankfully the rest of us are dicks about stuff like that.

So it is ok for people to say when somebody's site looks good but I can't say what looks bad?
And this is General Discussions can't we say anything in general as long as it is not offensive?

No. If there is another forum for something, it's meant to be discussed there. This is just a place for anything not covered by another forum.

The only reason all your threads ever get closed is because you request them to be closed. One little off-topic post never hurt anyone.

There's some stuff that could be changed but then again they haven't updated the board since 5.47a! Great posters there though, with the exception of the occasional prick. But they go down 1-2-3:

1. Grab shotgun.
2. Load shotgun.
3. Blow prick's head off.

Works every time! ;)

My forum is on the verge of being installed, just some database name difficulties. I'll post it when it's finished. BTW anyone know of some good tools to develop skins? Want to make the board look, ya know, flashy. :D

Ok what the heck are you talking about in the first paragraph?
To develop a board skin it is either a CSS template or a .tpl file that you need to edit. There are no editors that I know of
