This has forced consumers to shift to make major purchases online.

And major offline spending has shifted from online spending with the rise of the use of internet banking to the use of debit and credit cards.

Also, Ad costs and online advertising spiked up due to online competition.

Ecommerce development also saw a great spike as more businesses were forced to go online by launching their own e-commerce websites.

However, this is expected to fall as soon as the pandemic starts to recovers.

Therefore e-commerce business as a whole will continue to grow over the next 1 to 2 years not just because of the pandemic.

But because of the seamless availability of goods and services online, and shopping online proved this pandemic that it is time-saving and easy, and safe.

However, post-pandemic the effect of e-commerce sales may decline.

But as long as COVID 19 continues to stay there is no doubt that the e-commerce business will double the sales ratio in the next few years.

And people who hate online purchases may fall victim to spending their dollars online in goods and services and other essential needs of day-to-day lives.

You can also combine your site with a progressive web app that offers an optimal mobile experience across channels and integrate it with accelerates mobile pages that are the foundation of Google’s mobile-first index, which prioritizes mobile optimization in search results.

Progressive web applications (PWAs) combines the best of web and mobile apps that are a type of software application delivered online via. the web, using common web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Great article. Thanks for sharing! I agree that the eCommerce business will grow further as more and more people change their occupations and start working online. And I'm no exception. It is safer now. I'm thinking about opening an online store. I haven't chosen a web design tool yet, but I looked through a review of the eCommerce website builders here https://www.webbuildersguide.com/best-website-builder/ecommerce/ and BigCommerce seems to be a good choice. But I haven't read about OpenCart, thanks, I'll check it out.
