Brazil obviously are the main favourites. But there is a bunch of teams who could be the new champions. I hope to see entertaining tournament and no stupid referee mistakes like it happened in 2002 WC.

I doubt that Brazil will get it this year. I think this year might be one where an un-expected nation might get it. No one is really talking about Brazil as much as in the cups before.

Yeah, only because Brazil are coming into this as the favourites!

Think about it, the majority of their starting 11 are some of the best players in the world, ronaldinho, ronaldo, robinho, adriano and kaka can win the world cup on their own!

I have a feeling Australia is going to get smoked out of the water hard in this world cup. What YellowMC says is true too, Brazil is stacked, and I can't see anyone really beating em.

Hey lets wait and see. I think there is going to be a surprise. BTW Ronaldo isn't as good as he used to be, I know ronaldinho is good and Kaka is too, I haven't heard about the other two though. I've been out of the football game for a while. I barely have time to do anything now days. ----in school!

Don't underestimate the socceroos ;) And least they made it to the finals. and they usually do well in the Olympic Games.

Anyone playing the BBC World Cup Daq? It's sort of a free stock exchange for the teams in the World Cup. I'm trying it out now. Will be more fun when the games start I guess.

I might try that, at the moment I am betting like crazy with a few mates!

If all goes to plan, I will be a millionare very soon! Also Jan, you are right, Hiddink has turned Australia around, they could just cause a few upsets this time around!
