free host request

New Member
Have a backed up Nuke portal ready for re-installation to a new site. In the past three months I have lost a deposit for a paid host that went down, and recently Breezeland free host went buggy on me. (still down)

It is a sports related site, perfectly legit. Not many file transfers, just a few Excel databases. I have 211 existing members.

I need the usual PhpNuke requirements ie sql database, about 100mb space, and 4-5 gb transfer/mo.

No forced advertising, but am willing to place a block banner.

If anyone knows of a reliable free host, please let me know. I would be willing to pay something a little bit down the road, if I am happy with the service.

thanks for the quick response!
I just don't have time to build up points for the free hosting that this site offers. I have seen others here that require you to build points as well... hoping for a quick solution!

Well i hate to say but for 100MB Space, 4-5GB Transfer and only Banner Ads, you are pushing it, it will most likely require some work.

Yes illusionfxnet looks to be what I was after. I did apply there a couple days ago (user Oddsman) but haven't heard back.

ya i dont think they accept anymore or something cuz i tried also the owner says if they dont answer ing 24 hours u were diened
 
heh. u ppl been down alot lately but its free... Hey epidemik. Tell Delta that if he has win2000 to use as a server . Winxp isnt the best. I was talking to a buddy and he said that the hosting isnt the bestest

Yes AMZ would be your best option for replacing your paid
hosting account since they do account transfers from other
paid providers. If you lost your money at another provider, they
might actually be able to do something for you ... certainly
worth asking. Their site is http://www.amzweb.com.

Just a note to conkermaniac though, AMZ no longer has a
FREE hosting service ... the one that you are thinking about
at AMZWEB.NET has now been spun off into it's own company
and renamed to U69.US. Check it out at http://www.u69.us

My web site recently got converted from an amzweb.net
address over to the newer u69.us address when they made
this change. So far the new service is awesome!
