Free virtual host

Does any know a free virtual host, so that the path of the url always shows the own domain. mydomain.com offers "stealth redirection" which frames the homepage. After the first target=_top the real url is shown. That is not what I want.

Thanks a lot. I have been at these urls but did not find out, if they put banners, pop-ups or other ads on the site or if there are any hidden "features" which are not visible at the first sight. Also I could not find customer sites of them to see if there are ads and how they look like.

Could you give me a hint please, what is the difference between the mentioned domain hosters?

Only f2s.com does not have ads, all the others have some form of ad. I don't think there are any "hidden features" with any of 'em.

They are different companies, so each one differs from one another (duh). lpok gave you a few of the better ones that will host domains for you to choose the one you favor.

I'd say it isn't. If the thread moves on to free webhosts, it'll be in the wrong place, but if you stick to the topic, free virtual hosts, it's not off topic!

Only f2s.com have no ads, but they are a little slow sometimes.

With virtualave and hypermart, you have a choice of popups or user placeable banners.

I'm not sure about netcabins. They say they are working on their ad system. If you check out their forum, rumor have it that they are probably going to have popups.

so it is comparable to http://www.doteasy.com/ ?

I searched a lot at f2s, but I could not find a price for a com-domain for 1 year. I registered for a free account and at the configuration they offer you to buy an account, but no price at first sight.

By the way doteasy says from $15 for the domain, but for 1 year it is $25.
