Local Server Needed

I need a Server that makes me able to run Forums without connect for training

i have PHP 2.4 But it is nt working in Vista

which server is working with windows vista???

Not specially made for Vista, try phpDev all in one package (Apache,php & MySQL) working on a Vista VM I'm running okay.

Your server will be offline every time you disconnect (if you are hosting on your computer).

It is best to get yourself a dedicated server if it is the case.

If he's just testing by himself, he doesn't need a dedicated server... If you do decide to present your content to the general public, get a dedicated server from a reputable provider with a larger data line than your DSL / Cable line.

I've got Xampp on mine (Vista) it runs sweet. Better than the servers we have for hosting. Except my internet connection.
