I don't know if anyone knew about it, but there was a meteor shower tonight...it was the first one in about a hundred years or so. It was supposed to be best for viewing at 2 AM Mountain time...which was about 2 and a half hours ago...it was really cool to see.

Anyway, I'm sure you can still see it if right now is not tonight for you...check your news, they may mention it...trust me, it's worth watching...it was so cool.
 
its night for me now too, I don't see it and the news never reported about it. Anyway, what the hell is it anyway? :D
 
a Meteor shower? I would have thought that was pretty self expanatory. If you have a clear sky right now, you should look and see if you see any meteors going by...they look like a bunch of shooting stars from our vantage point.
 
Apparently, the best place to see the shower was in the Northern Territory, Australia..

It took me thirty minutes to see 8 meteors. That sucks :mad:
They were each less than a second long, and they were like 5 minutes apart.
 
At first I didn't know what time it was on, so I kept on looking at the sky from 8PM to 10PM, but nothing happened....so I just went to sleep..it was very clear yearterday..so I'm sure anyone in Vancouver could've seen it at about 2AM or 3AM..

Darn..I didn't know what time it was on....:mad: :cry2:
 
It was quite good. There was up to about 1-2 meteors every second where I was, and that continued for about an hour. Clear skies, no moon, and a deck facing east made for a good viewing experience.
 
I saw it. I was laying on the couch asleep with a PS2 controller in my hand and Grand Theft Auto III on the T.V. and all the sudden someone was shaking my arm at like 4 AM. It was my mom, I nearly attacked her before I saw her :D. She told me to go outside and look. I saw like at least 50 some meteaors in about 10 minutes. It was pretty damn cool.
 
I saw a lot...one after another...I was lucky cause the sky was so clear...I"m normally still awake at 3 AM, cause I'm a tad nocturnal...I didn't think I'd care about that sort of thing until I saw it.
