My CD Drive- HELP

New Member
My hard drive and anything else with my computer is fine again but now my CD-drive does not work it appears that the autorun is disabled.

Can anyone help me please- how do i turn autorun back on again??

If you don't have this option available:
Access the System Properties Dialog. Using Control Panel, My Computer, Properties or Explorer, My Computer, Properties.
Select the Device Manager tab.
Select the CD-ROM folder
Select the entry for your CD-ROM drive.
Select Properties
Select the Settings tab.
Turn on the Auto insert notification option.

Try this:
You can disable the CD-ROM autorun by changing this setting, this will start or stop applications from auto launching when you insert a CD-ROM disc into your drive.

Open: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic
es\CDRom

Change to value of 'Autorun', or create a new DWORD value if it doesn't exist: (0=disable, 1=enable)

Restart Your Computer.
