Need honest host for friend's personal site

My friend wants to host a personal website and is looking for a free host. Someone who WON'T DESERT HIM after a couple months passes.

He is looking for someone who has a lot of free space to share it with him (1GB+). Looking for cPanel, a decent amount of bandwidth for a personal site, and a fair amount of options and not many restrictions. He already has his own domain.

We know that it is hard to come by a person why will take this request for free, but hopefully someone here is kind enough to offer us something.

Can you tell me more about his needs? Is cPanel a must-have, or would he be Ok with another control panel?
