Need Tips and Advice

Hello my beautiful wonderful fellow FWS'rs!

I need some tips and advice here.

Basically, I want to create something that will attract people and say "Yup, I will get my forum from these people" but it aint happenin ya know?

So any help, advice, tips etc that can help me accomplish this would be awesome. I will owe you all a Guinness each

well, what do ppl like to look at .....

curvy corners
bright colours
animated text (js, gif, flash <-- all or either)


what do ppl not like to look at .....

the worlds supply of text
white and black stuff
lists of stuff

I'm no designer, but as a person or perspective user that's what I think, dunno what you make from it, hope it elps .... see u in the bar .....

Yeah, I find it hard to define what would look good really.
If I am designing for someone I make sure they tell me exactly what they want. But when it comes to my own designs for myself, I am hopeless. lol
 
Like Krak Joe said, it needs one of them funky looks, curvy corners bright colours with the white gloss effect. If you need desperate help I can design you a site, but I'm not good with slicing and HTML.

So i think is what people like is unique stuff , there are loads of free forum hosts that have already greatly modded forums ,

what you need to have is UNIQUENESS!!
thats what matters .

If you ask me give people hosting for some board which is great but no others are offering@
 
I found a designer on GetAFreelancer to design the site for me. But, if there's anyone here on FWS that will do it for the same price or less, get in touch.
