Nightmare!

Yesterday was a very bad day for me. You know what I dreamed last night? I don't think you can guess it. It's a ........................ DMCA notice!

I saw a email in my inbox titled "DMCA Notice". I was frightened and just opened it. A gif image was blinking and contained word "DMCA".
Couldn't go further with it. I heard some sound and awake from the sleep.

How horrible dream it was! I forgot to even breath:) lol But quickly I figured out that was a dream.

I don't even no how it looks like or how they warn us. And I have done nothing wrong for getting something like that.(even no a pornography in my website or my client's)

Anyway I hope it won't come true in my life! :)lol
 
Haha, that is just epic. You have to get your head out the net bro, go out a little and have fun.

Back to the topic, I had a nightmare, I fell on the train tracks and there was a train coming. Fortunately, me falling off my bed woke me up right before the train hit me, such a relief it was.

I have had a few due to clients, they get removed from our systems as soon as we get the notice.

They say dreams reflect our lives, maybe its because so many sites of all kinds are being shut down now that it might play at the back of your mind.

It might be because you are doing some thing you should not be :evilb: LOL

It's funny I had a bad dream last night but it was about my highs fear, last night it was so windy and that contributed to my dream. I was in my flat but I was on the top floor and the wind was like it was last night, and I had all the windows open but they opened all the way because of the wind. I wanted to close the windows but could not get to the handles cause I could not do it without seeing how high I was. In my dream I even tried to get a hanger to get to the handles but it did not work. Then I woke. now that was freaky.

Sometimes, dreams are good. One day I had a problem with my coding. Then I went to sleep and saw how to fix it in my dreams. Next day I tried it and it worked! That was cool!

LOL Trust me I do, I live on the first floor of my flats and only just getting used to not being on the ground. :p
 
DMCA's are nothing to worry about, as long as you act on the notice in good faith. As an ISP you are exempt from recourse, as long as you follow the DMCA procedure. Most likely your upstream provider will handle it for you and just pass it along to you.
 
DMCA is a joke really, they just send them to get content offline, so long as the content gos offline you have complied with the law and have nothing at all to worry about...

Its such a big joke that you dont even have to search content you host, just wait for DMCA take down notices and remove accordingly.

You mean the illegal content or the whole host?

I wish the host will care the issue for me. But if they don't, I'll contact you asap. :) lol
 
I mean US law for ISPs is pretty fair, almost to fair, you can host illegal stuff and pretty much have no obligation to keep checking if its illegal or not, until you get a notice to take it down. only then are you breaking the law by hosting it.
DMCA is the same, you are only breaking the law if you ignore the notice.

Really? I didn't knew that.

So it is not that difficult to handle a DMCA notice. Now I have a good knowledge on it if I get one:p I thought it is like a "DEATH NOTICE!" :) lol
Thanks guys for pointing me. I wish I won't see bad dreams with DMCA in it:)

Nah, its only a death notice if you dont comply with it :p

No. I won't ignore it. That's for sure:) Thanks.

And this is my historical "500 POST!". I will come to this thread one day and will say "How stupid I was!" :lol
(Anyway it's better this is in my own thread:D So I don't owe anyone for completing this post:) )
