REQ: Free psyBNC Account

A friendly word of warning ....

To every host that sees this thread, I strongly advise you check
with your upstream server provider / data center prior to posting
any offers regarding your upstream's TOS policies.

Very nearly all of the major data centers explicitely forbid IRC server,
IRC proxies, bots, and related scripts in their TOS usage policies
and this would definitely include psyBNC!

Irregardless whether you are a reseller, vds user, or dedicated server owner,
hosts that allow users to install psyBNC on their servers, even if dedicated,
run a substantial risk of having their servers terminated if caught.

This is one area that the data centers do actually watch and enforce!

if nearly all the major data centers forbid irc servers...then how are there so many pple that offer psybnc accounts? just not for free. i have seen so many different pple from just about every data center offer psybnc accounts

Because they're stupid, and you should go get it from them instead. IRC is a fine thing to be selling if you want to be a tasty target for (D)DOSer's, which most of us do not.

$3/month is too much money. when i actually paid for these in the past i got 6 months for $10. cheapest ones ive seen out are $2/month. if it goes down to $1/month ill pay
